As a result of a gas explosion in a shopping center in the town of Taichung in central Taiwan, at least five people were killed and another seven were injured. This was announced by the fire department. The incident occurred on the twelfth floor of the building, where construction work was being carried out.
According to the department's information, this floor had been closed due to construction work.
