Taiwan's Defense Ministry Reports Chinese Balloons

On Friday, the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan announced that six Chinese warplanes had been detected entering Taiwan's airspace, which Beijing considers its territory.

According to the words of the representative of the Ministry, "Six Chinese warplanes were detected crossing into Taiwan's airspace at a time when the issue of national security remains unresolved."

Previously, Taiwan had already faced similar incidents. In 2020, the island reported incursions by Chinese fighter jets and bombers into its airspace.

Relations between Taiwan and China remain strained due to disagreements over the status of the island. Taiwan is effectively an independent state, but Beijing insists on its territorial claims.
