This morning, the eastern coast of Taiwan was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale off the coast of Hualien Province. According to the Central Emergency Operations Center of Taiwan, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the sea, 9.8 kilometers south of Hualien Province, at a depth of 30.5 kilometers.
